Program kicks off in August

The Leadership McAllen program kicked off in August with a Welcome Reception for the incoming class. In September, participants attended a Class Retreat that offered an overview of the program and allowed class members to bond before starting the informational sessions.

These classes run from October through April, culminating in a graduation ceremony in May.

CLASS MEMBERS WILL BE ABLE TO:

  • Discover the comprehensive history of the city

  • Gain insider knowledge about various community organizations supporting the arts, sciences, and environment, addressing the needs of youth and adults of all ages

  • Enhance their leadership skills

  • Engage with current leaders to learn about future plans

Our classes are intentionally composed of diverse groups of individuals who may not typically be familiar with or associate with one another.
